Procurement

Ensuring fair, transparent, and value-driven purchasing of goods and services.

Public procurement in the FSM is guided by the Financial Management Regulations, which require that all purchases and contracts follow strict procedures. Large transactions — such as construction projects above $50,000 or goods and services above $100,000 — must undergo open competition, with bidding panels ensuring fairness and compliance. Procurement processes are designed to achieve value for money, prevent corruption, and ensure that goods and services are delivered efficiently and on time. This safeguards the public’s trust and ensures resources are spent responsibly.
