World Bank

Partners with the FSM to drive sustainable growth, strengthen infrastructure, and build resilience to climate change, supporting FSM’s long-term development and social well-being through investments across energy, digital connectivity, transport, education, fisheries, and public financial management

World Bank–financed projects in FSM tackle critical challenges across key sectors. The ARISE Project expands access to reliable, renewable electricity, while the Skills and Employability Enhancement Project strengthens vocational training and opportunities for youth. Public Financial Management reforms modernize government systems for greater transparency and accountability. Digital FSM and Connectivity initiatives bridge the digital divide by expanding affordable internet and digital services. PRIME and SCORE improve climate-resilient roads that connect communities and support economic activity, while the PROPER Project safeguards fisheries and marine ecosystems for sustainable livelihoods. Together, these projects build resilience, create opportunities, and support a more sustainable future for FSM.
