International Customs Day 2020

Theme: Customs fostering Sustainability for People, Prosperity and the Planet.

FSM Customs is dedicated towards a sustainable future where social, economic; health and environmental needs are at the heart of our actions. On January 29th FSM Customs joined with other International Customs Authorities in celebrating International Customs Day 2020. Our first commemoration took place outside the Pohnpei field Office in Kolonia, where Assistant Secretary Mr. Salvador Jacob spoke about the importance of Customs to the protection of our community from the importation or smuggling of illegal and dangerous goods. Deputy Assistant Pohnpei Field Office, Mr Kohler Carl also spoke about the importance of Customs role to the collection of revenues for our governments

The program was attended by Pohnpei Field Office, CTA staff from our Head Office in Palikir and students from Pohnpei catholic School. The program ended with an employee of the year award being given to Sehra Ezekias from Pohnpei field Office.
