DOFA is the key Department in the FSM responsible for policy and strategic advice, as well as financial services for the Government. DOFA consists of five Divisions including Treasury, Customs & Taxes, Investment & International Finance, Budget & Economic Management, and Personnel, which all work together to provide cohesive service to the people of Micronesia. DOFA’s role is to promote accountability and transparency in service delivery to the people of Micronesia through establishment and implementation of sound public financial management systems, standards, policies, and procedures. The DOFA Mission is: To provide administration, financial and oversight support to ensure fiscal responsibilities and sound financial management systems are carried out in a sustainable manner and to improve and sustain quality financial and performance accountability.
